The phase I and phase II short circuit, protective device coordination study, and arc flash hazard analysis has been completed for the 7th floor electrical room at 60 State St, Cambridge MA high-rise building. The study was completed using Power Tools for Windows Electrical Engineering Analysis Software Version 11.0.0.0 from SKM, System Analysis, Inc.
The Short Circuit study indicated the source AIC fault rating at the existing 480 Volt Feeder Busway that is routed up to the existing high-rise building. That 3 phase Fault value was used to confirm the AIC ratings proposed by the EC as it relates to the submittal provided for the new distribution at the 7th floor electric room. This study includes the modeling of feeder busway, main distribution panel on the 7th floor and associated transformer and panelboards within project scope.
